Last gig!
My friends, it is with great sadness I have to tell you that Wednesday November 8 will be the Coronets last gig. We are all getting on a bit, and even though, RIGHTLY OR WRONGLY, we still think we are rather good, we are all finding it hard to spend the time on the band as well as - YOU KNOW - being adults. GRRRRRRRRR - it has come to this dammit. So although we will still hopefully play together from time to time, we won't be rehearsing regularly which means that it will be hard to play gigs as a band.
BUT! This means if you have ever liked a song by the Coronets, Wednesday November 8 is your last chance to see us live! So for heaven's sake, why not grasp the nettle and come to the Turnmills for about 8:30? There are so many reasons to come! It's going to include:
- All the songs YOU like, including the ones we have given up playing such as Better English and Another Song about Bedford!
Hopefully, A SPECIAL GUEST appearance by former Coronet James 'The Law' Osgood!- Great networking opportunities!
So why not put down your monster munch, take it beyond the max, and come along to the Turnmills on the 8th? Make the date in your diaries now my friends, so that no-one can book you in for a different meeting, and collect your flyer here nearer the time.
Download some corra tunes!
It's still possible to download the John Barnes song if you like that sort of thing - I know your sort.
Take care and hope to see you on the 8th - lots of love -
